MN Lynx...

Lukie and Lex attended a MN Lynx (professional women's basketball) game earlier this summer and I told them that I was envious...that I had always wanted to go to one of their games...especially with this group of players who have won four championships in the last seven years...

Lukie and Lex said in response 'that we should get tickets then.'...so we did...our tickets were for this past Sunday evening, the last home game of the year...

So what do you do at a game?  You eat...Lex went with the hot dog and Lukie with nachos...

It was a fun night at a ballgame...Lex was back chanting "let's go Lynx, let's go."  Slightly modified from her Central Raiders chants, but appropriate...Lukie got into the game like normally does too...

With just the two of them, I always have to be in the middle, it's going to be interesting to see how that changes soon...

The game we had tickets to took on a whole new level of importance earlier in the week.  Lindsay Whalen (from Hutchinson), one of the greatest athlete to ever play in Minnesota said she was retiring at the end of the year (she'll be the head coach of the Gophers women's team this winter).  She took the Gophers to the Final Four when in college, won two gold medals at the Olympics, 4 WNBA titles, etc...the place was packed...

It was a good, close game...with the Lynx winning at the end...great night.  After the game, there was a short, postgame celebration in honor of Whalen and nobody left early...

The night just whetted our appetites for basketball season coming in November...just have to get through Volleyball and Football first...
