Carver County Fair...

It's fair week here in Carver County...another sign that summer is coming to an end...we we're going to go to the fair yesterday, but held off until today...

We did all the usual things, starting at the 4-H building where we saw this dress made out of playing cards that's been in the news this week...

Saw a horse show...visited all the animal barns and saw the exotic animals...

Visited the sheriffs building...this seemed like the truth...

Lukie had fun climbing last year, so he wanted to do it again.  You get two climbs, but the guy gave Lukie an extra climb if he wanted to try the 'extra hard' climb...Lukie did well, got 3/4 of the way up that time, his arm just wasn't long enough to get to the top...

Lex has always liked this cutout pictures...Lukie will tolerate them...

And then it was time for the rides...first up Lukie wanted to tackle the tower...

Of course we hit the Ferris Wheel...I sat next to Lex last year, so it was Lukie this year...

And they do like the slide...

Lex giggled the entire time in the Tilt-A-Whirl...they were spinning quick...

Then they walked on water...this was new to them...it was a lot of running and especially falling down...they had a blast...

Lex had to go on the Merry-Go-Round...she loves it...

Lukie likes the bumper cars...gets him a chance to drive...

I said Lukie likes to drive, right?

At the Carver County Parks exhibit, they got to 'slack line', frisbee golf, practice casting and more...

Summer is coming to an end, but it's not winter yet!

Another year at the fair and we'll be back...now they're talking about the state fair...
