Let's get to the point...they won and are going to state...
Lukie and Lex had been looking forward to this game for a long time...
It was a late game, started at 8:00, but they were happy to be there...
Lex was her usual self once the game started...she sings the school song over and over again or chants 'Let's go Raiders, let's go' loudly...both Lukie and I have to tell to mellow it out a little from time to time...
The game was close at halftime, 20-19 Raiders...they had lost to this team back in December, so we figured it be close again...
I heard someone say that Lex doesn't really like to go to the games, that I force her to go, that she doesn't watch them anyway...Really? Look at the picture above! She loves this team and players just like Lukie...
The Raiders came out hot in the second half and opened up a decent lead, eventually leading to the closing seconds...
And the final score was 58-43...a fun night that wasn't over yet...
First the girls got to receive their section championship medals and the section trophy...Lukie and Lex had to see that...
At the conclusion of all of that, I got talking to someone I know and Lukie/Lex took off...they came back beaming and said they just took a picture with Mary...apparently they ran down to the court and Mary's sister Brooke took the picture (sending it to me later)...
You don't think kids look up to high school kids? Look at that picture - all three of them are happy being in the picture. Lukie though...he's talked about wanting this picture since volleyball season...he's beyond excited to be in a picture with her...
Great night and a great season that is over yet...
