We went to the science museum a couple of days ago to catch a new exhibit and see one of the Omnifest films (they have five films for two months that you can see)...
The new exhibit is called 'Game Changers' and it looks at the evolution of video games over the last 40 years. It also allows people to play many, many games...
There some systems from the '90s that you could play...
They both that the graphics were terrible...
All sorts of games...
Then there were the old arcade style games --- things like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, etc...it was fun...
Lex loved Asteroids...I loved asteroids...
After the exhibit, we went out into the museum...
Both, Lex and Lukie love the sand table that shows elevation as you change it...plus, you can 'make it rain' by doing what they're doing in the picture below...
The reds show higher elevation and the blue shows lower elevation...
We had lunch overlooking the lobby...I asked Lukie 'when did they put up those blue triangle things?' He read the sign behind me and said "1999." Apparently, I don't look up much in the lobby...
They tried out some wacky medical devices from the past...
Lex had to race TC Bear (he's the easiest to beat) and Lukie had to race Lex...
We checked out the dinosaurs...
And it was Women in Engineering day at the museum and kids could do 4-5 different hands-on activities, like making slime...
Making Bath Fizzies...
Create circuits to turn on a fan, buzzer or other things...
Make a catapult...
And use play dough to create another circuit that would turn on a light...
And of course, Lukie and I got the picture we've been taking for years with the T-Rex...
Another good day....
