Pretty Busy Saturday...

The plan was simple yesterday "actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot.  Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time..."

Maybe it was exactly that, but it was a pretty nice little Saturday...it started as most Saturdays do from December - March, with basketball...

Lukie had two games at Central...

The first game was pretty close, they lost by less than five...

 The second game was not as close...not sure how many they lost by...

After the games and lunch, Lukie set up his new rock tumbler...it came with rocks and minerals ready to be tumbled (we had planned on going to my room at school and finding some for him to tumble)...

Here they are ready for part of the tumbling process...

You add coarse grit and some water, they they need to be tumbled for 2-4 days before inspection...

This little wheel has been turning for 24 hours now...we'll check it Monday to see if part one is done...part two of the process requires 10-14 days and part three takes at least 7 days...yeah, it's going to be tumbling for a while (it's not that quiet either)...

In the evening, we were off to Delano for a hockey game, the last game before sections start this week...what do you need inside an ice arena in-between periods?  Slushies apparently...

It was a good game, they were facing the #3 ranked team Class A team in the state and for the second time this year, the game finished in a tie with them, 1-1...

It was late by the time we got back, around 10:30, but the air temperature was 36 degrees and the 'feel-like' temperature was 30 degrees.  So in 3 days, the 'feels-like' temperature went from -55 to 30, an 85 degree difference...yeah, that's Minnesota...

A pretty nice little Saturday...
